A Douglas County Jail inmate died Tuesday after being found unresponsive in her cell, according to Phil Rooney, a spokesman for the county.
Amanda R. Solko, 34, of Omaha, was transported to the Creighton University Medical Center, where she was declared dead, Rooney said.
Solko was being held alone in a cell at the Douglas County Correctional Center and was found unresponsive at about 8:30 p.m.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is investigating her death, Rooney said. No additional information will be released while the investigation is underway, he said.
Solko had been at the jail since Oct. 1. She was charged with driving during a license revocation and was being held on $50,000 bail.
