What to watch: NFL football is back, baby!

“Wipeout,” 7 p.m. to 9:01 p.m., ABC (new)

What better place to go on a blind date than the “Wipeout” obstacle course? Couples set up by Jill Wagner compete together in the Bridge Over Troubled Water, Love Birds and Romantic Helicopter Ride.

Sunday Night Football, 7:30 p.m., NBC (new)

Are you ready for some football? I am. The NFL gets underway for real as Baltimore visits Denver. And yes, this is Sunday Night Football, even though it's Thursday.

“Burn Notice,” 8 p.m. to 9:01 p.m., USA (new)

Michael must expose his identity to James, while Fiona and Jesse worry that he's in over his head.

“Project Runway,” 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Lifetime (new)

The designers compete in field-day events before creating high-end performance wear for Heidi Klum's line. Michael Kors is the guest judge.

“Ragin Cajun Redneck Gators,” 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Syfy (new)

A Louisiana family dumps a bad batch of moonshine into a swamp, and it transforms all of the alligators into killer mutants.

“Wilfred,” 9 p.m., FX (new)

The season comes to a close as Jenna forbids Ryan from seeing Wilfred.

“Rookie Blue,” 9:01 p.m., ABC (new)

A shooter takes aim at the 15th Division.
