A woman who was driving a motorcycle without a proper license crashed late Saturday after she rode off Interstate 80 at the 60th Street exit, police said.
Witnesses reported that she was traveling at more than 100 mph, according to Omaha police.
Her injuries — which included a broken right arm, broken jaw, skull fracture, lacerated spleen and lacerated kidney — were said to be life-threatening.
The woman, Abigail Tate, 24, was taken to the Creighton University Medical Center.
Tate had been heading east on I-80 with a group of motorcyclists around 11 p.m. when she tried to get off the freeway at 60th Street, police said.
She lost control of her Kawasaki, rode down the shoulder and crashed into the south embankment.
