Omaha police on Friday arrested two people in connection with the killing of a man who was shot inside his car outside an apartment building.
Marcus Escamilla, 33, was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder, use of a weapon during a felony and felon in possession of a gun, said Officer James Shade, a police spokesman.
Escamilla is a gang member, Shade said, though the spokesman did not identify the gang.
Janella Marks, 35, was booked on suspicion of being an accessory to a felony and a felon in possession of a gun.
They are accused in connection with the slaying of Kenneth D. Gunia, 40, on April 16.
Gunia was visiting his girlfriend at the Mason School Apartments near 24th and Mason Streets when he was shot, the girlfriend has said.
