Friday nights in Omaha will get a little more interesting with the July return of the Cox Music and Movies series, presented by Omaha Performing Arts.
On three Fridays — July 12, 19 and 26 — a local band will perform in the Holland Performing Arts Center’s Courtyard. The concert will be followed by a free screening of a popular film.
The courtyard will open at 7 p.m., music begins at 7:30 p.m., and the movie begins at dusk or around 8:45 p.m.
On July 12, Dani Cleveland will perform, followed by a screening of “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” An Evening: A Tribute to John Denver will open the festivities on July 19, followed by a screening of “Forrest Gump.” On July 26, Omaha Girls Rock will perform before “Finding Nemo.”
